Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 1 - 3 years solid experience in banking operations, of which specialized in operational risk management or relevant experience in internal control or auditing

Nice to have

  • Independent, excellent analytical, time management and interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Good team player

Education & certifications

  • Degree or above, preferably with relevant qualification (e,g. CPA, ACCA, CAMS, CIA, ECF-ORM Role 2 - Professional Level etc.)

Languages

  • Good communication skill (including in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, spoken and written)

The role

What you'll do

  • Conduct regular operations and compliance monitoring program on risky areas to ensure the business processes are in accordance with regulatory requirements and policies of the Bank
  • Formulate, evaluate, and roll-out the adequacy of control procedures, make recommendations for improvement and constantly monitor high risk areas
  • Monitor the implementation of rectifications and enhancement measures in relation to operations risk management and compliance issues
  • Work closely with business and second line of defense to implement regulatory and internal requirements on compliance and operation risk related issues
  • Assist the business in drafting policies and procedures that meet local regulatory and Bank requirements.
  • Perform regular and ad hoc monitoring on relevant business activities and prepare management reports on compliance and operation risk related issues
  • Conduct training to staff for promoting compliance and operational risk management awareness

Requirements:

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Business Compliance and Operational Risk Manager
