Conservation Assistant

Requirement

• Degree holder in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science or relevant disciplines is preferable (Applicants with solid conservation/education experience are also welcomed)
• Willing and physically capable of working in outdoor environments, including to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy weights
• Good presentation and interpretation skills of conservation/environmental knowledge
• Good team player and communication skill
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including spoken Putonghua)
• Experience in animal handling is an advantage
• Willing to work on shifts including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
• Incumbents will be required to attend an orientation and a 1-day practical training

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the scientific and public awareness programmes for Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong. S/he will need to assist the marine animal stranding programme, community education and conservation programme and other organizational works such as fundraising activity and office administration.
