About the Role
We're building a risk & compliance program for our global business, and we're looking for a Junior Compliance Specialist to support the day-to-day compliance operations and monitoring across onboarding and transaction flows.
Responsibilities
- Support onboarding & KYC processes for global users (collecting/validating documents, screening results review support, and handling edge cases under supervision).
- Assist with AML monitoring workflows, including reviewing alerts/escalations and supporting investigations based on internal procedures.
- Contribute to policy & process execution: ensuring teams follow compliance standards for crypto payments, crypto transfers, and fiat onboarding journeys.
- Participate in investigations support for suspicious activity cases (e.g., flagged transactions, unusual behaviors), documenting findings clearly.
- Help maintain compliance documentation (case notes, audit-ready records, investigation logs, and evidence collection).
- Support compliance analytics by extracting and organizing data from transaction logs / monitoring tools, and preparing summaries for senior reviewers.
- Monitor emerging risk trends in the crypto ecosystem (fraud typologies, scam patterns, sanctioned/wash-trading behaviors) and flag them for review.
Qualifications
- 0-1 year of experience in compliance, AML/KYC operations, risk operations, fraud operations, or trust & safety in fintech / payments / exchange / crypto platforms (internships and university programs count).
- Strong interest and/or foundational experience in crypto-native workflows, such as on-chain activity concepts, exchange/payment behaviors, and crypto risk patterns.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML concepts (e.g., risk-based approach, transaction monitoring fundamentals, alert handling lifecycle).
- Comfort working with data (basic ability to read transaction logs; SQL is a plus but not required for entry-level).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document investigations clearly and accurately.
