Principal Responsibilities

• Lead a team to manage specialist risk and control disciplines, partnering with Risk and Control Owners to strengthen governance and manage resillience risk (including Third Party Risk, Tech and Cyber Security Risk, Business Continuity/Operational Resilience and Data Risk) across the business.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand product strategy, customer journeys and end-to-end processes, embedding risk and control considerations into business decisions and change delivery (including IT change). Use these insights to identify, aggregate and escalate control weaknesses and emerging risks that could breach appetite/tolerance or regulatory expectations, with a particular focus on Resilience.
• Coordinate with the Data Privacy Officer and relevant Risk SMEs on breach/incident reporting inputs, ensuring timely, accurate regulatory submissions and lessons-learned actions.
• Challenge and support initiatives (including IT change) to ensure Resillience Risk management requirements are designed in, risks are assessed, controls are defined, and residual risk is clearly understood and accepted.
• Establish/maintain operational controls aligned to the Group Resillience Risk Management policy and obligations.
• Lead targeted reviews (e.g., IT incident/problem management, change management, access control, third-party resilience) to identify gaps, improve control design and uplift operational discipline.
• Strengthen collaboration with Risk Stewards, Internal and External Audit and Regulators to maintain a holistic view of the risk profile.
• Advance the adoption of technology techniques to enhance the entity's mitigation of non-financial risks.
• Promote a strong risk culture, treating resilience as a customer and regulatory priority.

Requirement

• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in insurance or banking, with exposure to risk management, business resilience, or operational risk, AI governance within financial services and sound knowledge of HK Insurance, Wealth business and related regulations (e.g. outsourcing, cyber seucity etc.).
• Excellent communication skills to foster a good relationship with the local regulators and the business lines and functions.
• Proven ability to design, assess, and improve controls. Right judgment about the local regulatory requirements, Group policy requirements and good business vision, decision-making capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, ability to influence across senior levels and to drive changes.
• Strong business sense, self-motivated with logical and positive thinking, interpersonal and analytical skills; able to translate complex risk topics into clear actions.
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
