The role

Citi is looking for a Client Onboarding Analyst to join its Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) onboarding team, playing a key role in delivering accurate and timely account opening and maintenance services for internal stakeholders. In this role, you will manage end-to-end documentation processing and account administration functions that directly support the quality and efficiency of Citi's client onboarding operations. This is an opportunity to build deep operational expertise within a structured, process-driven environment at one of the world's leading financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end account opening and maintenance process, including documentation issuance, review, system setup, and daily tracking of in-progress and pending cases to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Handle physical document processing and scanning activities as part of the daily operational workflow, maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation throughout.
  • Monitor service delivery against defined service level agreements, identifying gaps and implementing process adjustments to consistently meet quality and efficiency targets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve account-related queries, escalate issues where appropriate, and maintain clear and professional written and verbal communication throughout.
  • Maintain full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and procedural guidelines, applying sound judgement to identify and escalate control or risk concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing workflows and contribute to process changes that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of account servicing operations.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of onboarding products and procedures through continuous on-the-job learning, supporting colleagues and senior stakeholders as a subject matter resource.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of structured, detail-oriented work in a time-sensitive environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to use standard tools to manage, track, and report on operational tasks.
  • Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
  • Competence in handling escalated or urgent cases with composure, managing expectations professionally and resolving issues in a structured and timely manner.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in documentation review, account maintenance, or cash product operations within a financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with account onboarding processes or client data administration within a banking or financial institution.
  • Prior exposure to client interaction or internal stakeholder management within an operational or administrative setting.
