Research Assistant

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) preferably one to two years of relevant work experience (but is not essential); (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) good computer literacy and the ability to troubleshoot common mobile-device and application issues; (v) an outgoing personality and good communication and organisational skills; (vi) a keen interest in AI-supported teaching, outdoor learning and exploring urban and natural environments; and (vii) a willingness to undertake outdoor duties, travel to field-trip locations and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. Experience in school liaison, educational technology, workshop and field trip facilitation would be an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in the preparation and delivery of teacher training workshops on EduVenture-AI®, an outdoor learning app invented and operated by Centre for Learning Sciences and Technologies; (b) providing on-site technical support to teachers and students using EduVenture-AI® during school field trips; (c) liaising with schools on training, itinerary planning and field-trip technical support; (d) researching and digitising field-based content to help design engaging, AI-supported outdoor learning materials for school itineraries; (e) systematically compiling, summarising, and logging user feedback and conducting data analysis and presentation regarding EduVenture-AI® to assist the development team in continuous platform refinement and workflow optimisation; (f) working closely with different stakeholders to facilitate in-depth evaluation and ongoing review about the effectiveness of EduVenture-AI®; (g) assisting with day-to-day operations of the EduVenture-AI® team to ensure smooth functioning and efficient organisation; (h) assisting with promotion and logistics, and handling enquiries about EduVenture-AI®; and (i) performing other duties as assigned by the EduVenture-AI® Team Manager.
